Wefood
Background Information
Food is one of the most popular search items on social media, and it seems that everyone can become a foodie. People take food photos, go to different restaurants and share their food reviews.
Problem
There are many apps for food delivery, diet control, and food photography, but none of them mainly focus on recording, sharing and managing the restaurants they have eaten.
Goal
Design a customised app for foodies to record their dining journey, create their favourite restaurants lists and share experiences with their friends.
Research
In order to understand the relationship between social media and diet habits, I did some research and then tried to figure out people's need.
Process
Navigation structure and page flow
Establishing an organised hierarchy, what the design should include, and understanding the steps that users will take are critical to designing our solutions.

Prototype

Customised Design
User can save their favourite restaurant to create their own food lists and categorise them by adding relevant tags. In addition, they can upload food photos and leave comments.
Social Media Feature
The popularity of restaurant can be shown by the number of people saved. In addition, on the restaurant details page, customers can see the restaurant’s story and understand the idea behind it, and see the food recommended by their friends as their reference.

Interaction
On pages with more information and symbols, visual guidance can attract users’ attention, make it easier for them to absorb important information, and increase the interactivity of the app.
Final Design
Foodies can use Wefood to record their dining journey, create their favourite restaurants lists and share experiences with their friends. This is not only an app to find restaurants, but also allows people to systematically arrange their diet schedule, and satisfy their hobbies of checking in and sharing.
